BBC Strictly fans spot former cast member in audience – but they look unrecognisable

Send Push

Strictly Come Dancing fans were all caught saying the same thing as they spotted a former cast member in the audience of week four's live show.

Dragons' Den star Sara Davies was spotted in the audience clapping for star – and looked incredible in a scarlet strapless dress, standing beside comedian Alan Carr. Alan had been busy reading the Strictly terms and conditions while promoting his quiz show just moments before.

After competing with pro Aljaž Škorjanec in series 19, Sara was obviously keen to be back in the room clapping for her celebrity pals.

But fans on X were swooning over her new look, with one writing: "Sara in the audience looks amazing - she's lost so much weight." Another echoed: "Off topic but Sara Davies looks absolutely stunning in the audience."

And someone else said: "I miss her - she looks like she's having a blast."

Sara recently dropped an incredible four stone, slimming down to a size 12 after having a “trigger moment”.

When a doctor warned her she was at risk of becoming pre-diabetic, and Sara had to “size up” all her clothes, she decided to make a change to her life. She cut out sugar entirely, explaining: “I stopped having chocolate and cakes, but also cut back on carbs and ate more veg than fruit.

“Miserable as it is, I also stopped drinking alcohol to reduce sugar. During filming, we go for dinner as a pack of Dragons, and Peter Jones has very nice, expensive taste in wine, but I feel so much better for cutting it out.

"I'm not saying I'll never drink again - I had a hamburger and gin and tonics at my 40th - but I've really enjoyed cutting down."

She cites kombucha as “life-changing”, admitting it’s “dodgy looking” but has helped her feel like she’s still drinking wine – without the calories. She also prepares herself salads on Sunday nights, and has learned a lot from her vegan co-star Deborah Meaden.
