Us Brits can take Branston Pickle for granted.
It's something that's always on supermarket shelves, in the fridge at home or smothered onto a tasty sandwich. But, in some parts of the world, they don't have such savoury delicacies.
One American was left mindblown by the food staple when he sampled it for the first time. The condiment surprised his taste buds so much that he had to tell everyone online about it - naturally, by posting to Reddit.
Sharing a snap of the much-loved pickle, he wrote: "I’ve been wanting to try this for a long time and ordered a jar from Amazon. All I can say is - WOW.
"This stuff is incredibly good, and I’m almost done with the jar after a little more than a day. The flavour is unlike anything I can compare it to in America’s relish lexicon, but it’s sweet, savory, tangy and crunchy and seriously addicting.
"There’s some spice note that I can’t quite put my finger on, maybe clove? So far I’ve enjoyed it on cheese and dried sausage, and I am really looking forward to trying it on a hot dog in place of the traditional American cucumber relish. Well done, Branston, well done."

It was a rave review indeed, and many can't believe just how much he enjoyed the humble Branston Pickle. In the UK, we appear to have it pretty good when it comes to condiments.
One person was left impressed with the feedback, writing: "I always wondered how an American would find it so this is amazing, the marmite challenge is more common. Mature cheddar cheese and (Branston) pickle sandwiches are manna from heaven as far as I'm concerned. "
Another wrote: "None of my friends in the States ever liked it. We'd have a party with all sorts of pre nums, and I'd always put out small chunk Branston for putting on the cheese and meats. It never got touched. Savages, the lot of 'em....... but hey, more for me."
A third replied: "I was obsessed with Branston pickle during my last pregnancy and ate it on toast like a spread. I got through so many jars, as well as pickled beetroot which I also ate on toast!"
Meanwhile, a fourth offered advice, adding: "Try it with a ploughman's and a pint of English beer, it'll blow your mind."
